Museo Nacional De Escultura

The National Sculpture Museum was found in 1933 and houses all the Castilin imagery from the 13th to the 18th centuries. The museum´s headquarters are in the Colegio de San Gregorio, built between 1488 and 1496 by Juan Guas and Simon de Colonia. It is a Gothic building that still preserves some of its rooms in good condition. Most important works- Gregorio Fernandez: Saint Teresa, The Pieta, The Baptism of Christ, Mary Magdalene and Christ Recumbent. -Andrés de Najera: Stalls of the Church of San Benito. -Pedro de Mena: Penitent Magdalene. -Juan de Juni: Burial of Christ and Calvary of the Aguila Chapel.
