Plaza Mayor

The Plaza Mayor of Valladolid, the city center, is the largest regular square in Spain. It is located just a few meters from other significant monuments such as the Church of San Benito el Real, the Cathedral, and the Church of Santa María La Antigua. One of the most famous shopping streets, Calle Santiago, begins here.

The hospitality, bars, and restaurants around it display their wine and tapas areas.

Presided over by the monument to the city's repopulator, Count Ansúrez, the Plaza Mayor is the main meeting place for Valladolid residents and visitors.

>The most important building in the Plaza Mayor is the town hall, home to Valladolid City Council. It is the most striking monument in the entire square thanks to its beautiful Baroque façade. Like the rest of the city, which was named the best illuminated, we recommend seeing it at night; its lighting is truly spectacular.
